Some of the best easy to carry mini laptops that you can consider buying

Mini laptops are being seen as the future of laptops by most of the on-the-go corporate professionals. Not only are they lightweight and therefore more convenient, but also pocket-friendly.

Mini laptop prices too are often lower than than their full-size counterparts. It is not difficult to find a great laptop under 25000 INR in this category. Another reason why you might be considering a mini laptop is the fact that with education and work having gone online amidst the pandemic (and continuing to stay online for most part), many households now have one laptop per person. Space definitely becomes a hassle, and therefore, “the smaller the better” seems to be the popular belief.

First things first; what are the key considerations while purchasing a mini laptop? The mini laptop’s price would, in most cases, be the first consideration, followed by its weight for many users. In fact, as per the definition, for a laptop to qualify as a mini laptop, it must weigh less than 2 kgs and must measure around 10 inches. Of course, these parameters are not set in stone, and often, people want slightly larger screens of about 12 inches to 15 inches.

Coming back to considerations, you’re also looking at a minimum RAM size of 4GB, a Windows 10 OS and of course, given all the virtual working and studying we’re up to in these times, an in-built webcam and microphone. Here are some of the popular options you consider while making your decision.

Lenovo IdeaPad S145

This mini laptop weighs only 1.6 kgs, and comes with 4GB RAM, a 1 TB HDD storage, an AMD Athlon dual-core processor, Windows 10 OS and full HD Display. These specs pertain to the base variant of the Lenovo IdeaPad S145 laptop. If the mini laptop price is less of a consideration for you, you may also consider other variants with more advanced technical specs.

Acer One Pentium Gold

Weighing only 1.8 kgs, this Notebook measures a little over 14 inches. Don’t be fooled by its weight; it is as big as every other model when it comes to features. The Acer One Pentium Gold laptop is powered by the Intel Pentium Gold processor, and packs 4GB RAM, a  1TB HDD storage, and an Intel Integrated graphics processor.

Asus VivoBook 15

The Asus VivoBook comes packed with 4GB RAM, and 1TB HDD storage, and is powered by the Intel Celeron dual core processor, while running on Windows 10 Home OS. It weighs 2 kgs and has a 15-inch display, making it easier for you to work on the device.

Lenovo Duet Chromebook

Tablet one moment, laptop the next; the Lenovo Duet Chromebook is perfect for those who want the best of both worlds. It weighs less than 1 kg and measures a little over 10 inches. For its size, it does pack a decent amount of features and specs, such as 4GB RAM, a 128GB HDD storage, a MediaTek™ Helio P60T processor and a Chrome operating system. Being part-tablet, it offers both front and rear cameras.

Dell Inspiron 15

This Notebook straddles the mini laptop and standard laptop categories, and falls just outside of the laptops under 25,000 INR category. However, buyers often want to make an exception for Dell given the durability of Dell laptops, and therefore it is worth a mention. The Dell Inspiron 15 weighs a little over 2 kgs, measures 15 inches, and boasts 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD storage, and is powered by an Intel Core i3 processor.

If you have zeroed in on a mini laptop for your work or study requirements, be sure to keep the considerations that we mentioned at the beginning of this article in mind, so as to get the basic features that you are entitled to in the laptops under 25,000 INR category.

If you have already found the laptop that you’re looking for but are waiting to come up with the funds to pay the mini laptop’s price, you don’t have to wait any longer. You could instead use the option of paying for the laptop in EMIs. Use your Bajaj Finserv EMI Network Card to purchase your favourite laptop, and pay in easy monthly instalments. That way, you can have your mini laptop right away, and pay for the device over a period of 3-24 months.
